Morocco is an amazing country. I’ve never been there. I would love to visit.
On this build I took the first couple of days looking at photographs of Moroccan Architecture and also the tiles that they are famous for. I really like the geometric patterns.
Morocco has a long history of tile making and the intricate patters they design all have interesting meanings. I hoped that Minecraft’s glazed terracotta would be up to the job.

Constuction
This build uses smooth sandstone, waxed copper, water and six types of glazed terracotta. Ali got frustrated with the complexity of the tiles placement and didn’t build, but had fun swimming in the pool, water feature and fighting off the pillagers that often spawn up here.

I enjoyed building it and would happily build a much larger version of it. If any experts on Morocco see anything that is very wrong then let me know and I’ll try and fix it.
